What this is
You help start debate rooms. We train you to run them. DebateIt gives students an AI judge, live online rooms, and ballots in seconds. Ambassadors turn that into real programs: practices, scrimmages, coach onboarding, and online rounds that keep happening after the first demo.
It is simple. You are not selling software from a script. You become the person who can walk into a school, explain how a debate program works, get a room running, and leave people with a system they can repeat without you.
What you get
- A real title. Founding Ambassador at DebateIt, on your resume and LinkedIn from day one.
- A reference and receipts. A recommendation letter from the founding team, plus real numbers you can cite: schools you brought on, rounds you ran, debaters you reached.
- Coach training. We teach you how to run practices, judge rounds, onboard beginners, and keep a program alive.
- Platform and circuit fluency. You learn DebateIt rooms, AI judging, team setup, and online hosting, plus Tabroom and the systems real programs use.
What we get
- Your room. You bring your school or club onto DebateIt and make judged practice normal there.
- Your circuit. You help us understand what local teams actually need, not what a landing page guesses.
- More programs. You help at least one nearby school start or restart a debate program.
- Better online debates. You host scrimmages, ladder nights, or novice round robins on the platform.
What you'll do
- Run one judged practice room each week during your active season. DebateIt handles the ballot; you handle the room.
- Onboard your own team. Set up the team space, get your coach reading ballots, and make online judged rounds a habit.
- Launch one new program. Find a nearby school, club, teacher, parent, or student who wants debate. We give you the coach track and setup materials.
- Host one online event per term. A scrimmage, a ladder night, a novice round robin, or a circuit-specific practice night.
- Send product feedback. What confused beginners, what coaches asked, what broke in real rooms, what would make the next event easier.
How we train you
- Debate program playbook. How to recruit, run a first meeting, schedule practices, teach novices, and keep attendance alive.
- Judge and coach basics. How to flow, give a ballot, explain a decision, and turn one round into the next drill.
- Tabroom and circuit tools. How real tournament infrastructure works, what coaches need to know, and when DebateIt should sit beside it.
- DebateIt hosting. Team spaces, AI ballots, live online rooms, school onboarding, and remote scrimmage setup.
Where this goes
Ambassadors who bring schools on become the founding coaches of the programs they started. Program founders who grow a region help train the next ambassadors. When we make full-time hires, this bench is where we look first.
